Please suggest ways of correcting Abnormal Luteal Phase? Are there natural means of doing this?

Elaine246 - July 1st, 2010 3:40 AM

maybe it is corrected by giving the women more progesterone? I know that luteal phase is the time between ovulation and the onset of the period. during this time the uterine lining receives progesteron for preparation of receiving the fertilized egg. weak uterine linings usually end up in miscarriage. so maybe if given more progesterone, this will strenghten the woman's womb.

One of the women in the fertility clinic where we go to was given vaginal progesterone suppositories for treatment. This makes sense since elaine mentioned that progesterone is the main reason why luteal phase is abnormal.

So it is usually through progesterone treatment. Maybe there are pills for this one? I am not too fond of suppositories. They are messy.

At least it is relatively easy to treat. What I have learned during fertility treatment is that no two cases are the same. There are internal and external factors that combine which makes fertilization occur.

the most knowledgeable who can help this case is no other than the doctor who has a field of specialization about this matter.

so you have a short cycle? i have a short cycle too and it can be harder to pinpoint ovulation. had hormone therapy too but so far, no luck.

I know that some women have very short cycles. Around 21 days. You mean to say that there are women who have even shorter periods? Can this be corrected with hormones?

ahh... another frustration among women. why do some women get abnormal luteal phase?
