I heard of a woman who had breast cancer, underwent chemo and then gave birth. In fact more women who are pregnant are diagnosed with breast cancer than women who are not. |

Yes it can and it should be something that she has to talk to her obstetrician and her oncologist. |

Definitely it can affect the baby she's carrying..that's why some women who are having a breast cancer, can't decide easily if they will push through with the treatment, because of such risks. |

Isn't it dangerous for the baby she is carrying? How will it affect the baby inide. Chemo has some nasty meds in it! |

yes it is dangerous for both of them and the risks should be something that is discussed before treatment. chemotherapy is dangerous even while you are not pregnant as the medication can affect the whole body and not just the reproductive organs. |

but there are some cases when a cancer patient may not submit in chemotheraphy but were survive in their case, and successfully deliver a healthy baby and became a mother for a long time. |

How far is she? doctors would give the choice to either go on with the treatment, risking the baby or to have it aborted. Its a painful choice! |
