how can fibroids & cysts affect female fertility?

monique - October 16th, 2010 10:50 AM

It can affect in a way that a woman may experience blood spotting between menses, heavy, painful and irregular periods.

Yeah I think so, because it's a serious thing and better have it checked with your doctor as soon as possible.

Fibroids are not a major cause for infertility. The one that affects fertility is when fibroids are being located in the area that affects the mucus of the lining of a womb.

Is fibroids the same as polyps? What is the cause of this?

cheska - October 20th, 2010 9:24 PM

No, fibroids are not the same as polyps.Fibroids are masses of tissue that start from the uterine muscles while polyps are just small fingerlike growths that is similar to the wart or skin tag that are found in the cervix.
