Is it true that there are foods that can cause infertility?

Thea - October 6th, 2010 11:55 AM

I have known that soy foods can really cause infertility. That's why if you are trying to get pregnant, just try also to avoid soy foods in your diet.

REally? It's bad news for me cause i love soy foods and it's one of my favorites!!

I think it should be "too much food can cause infertility". It is a known fact that obese women find it around 4x harder to get pregnant compared to women with normal body mass index...

So regulate eating habits and eat healthy all the time!

Perhaps too much MSG can also make it hard to get pregnant???

knight214 - October 11th, 2010 3:13 AM

I dont think theres one food that causes infertility. I think it has to do with amount. Example too much sugar, too much salt etc.

If you abuse that kind of food then you can get health problems which can affect fertility.

Yeah I agree with Knight214's answer. It's really more on too much of everything.

All foods that are good to be eaten also gives good benefit to our body. On the other hand, I think those foods like exotic foods and kind of street foods can cause harmful effects to our body and that all of these needs to be avoided.

They said that taboo foods are not good in fertility. But what's really a taboo foods? Are these what we call street foods or exotic foods?

Yonnie - October 20th, 2010 9:37 PM

I think it's a matter of how you control yourself in such craving. Foods are all good..to much of it is bad. But there are really some foods that so yummy to eat but it doesn't give good health benefits to the body..so, it's up to that person if he still do pursue his or her craving.

"Professor Drummond, a British bio-chemist, in discussing the question of the modern decline in fertility, before the Royal Society of Medicine suggested that the decline in the birth rate in European countries, during the last fifty years, was due, largely, to the change in national diets which resulted from the removal of [fat-soluble] vitamins B and E from grains when the embryo or germ was removed in the milling process." Price, W. Nutrition and Physical Degeneration

"As with men, insufficient intake of certain nutrients can often make women less prone to become pregnant. Much research reveals that subnormal intake of vitamin B6 can diminish the chances of conception." Health Freedom News
