a menopause baby is a baby conceived around the time a woman thought she was entering menopause. i know a woman who became a mother again at 49. just thought it would inspire some women here.

"thought" is the right word. This is because women this age usually stop worrying about getting pregnant or using birth control. :)

They are called menopause babies because menopause phase for women starts from ages 45 to 55. Many women start menopause later than usual so they still get pregnant even when they are late 40s or early 50s.

Our bookkeeper married late in her 30s. They tried several times with no success. They adopted a child. Several years later she got pregnant and she was already mid 40s.

This case is not uncommon.

That gives me some hope, I'm 40 this year, and I'm so on edge that I'm going to have an early menopause. Although my mum and grandma were both over 45 when they had it, so I hope that means I will be.
