I don't think there's a specific time when you will have sex after ligation. As long as you are comfortable enough and you can't feel anymore pain, then I guess that would be the right time. |

Well, I had my ligation also and after a week from operation, me and my hubby had sex..so far, nothings bad happen to me. I don't get any complications or anything alarming. |

Well, good for you Janice.It's too early huh! But be very careful because ligation is a serious operation. Don't do sex more often because we can't tell what happen the next time you will have it. |

I think we know our body well. If you think you can able and ready to have sex, then it's fine. But if you think you're still in pain due to surgery, then don't force yourself to have sex and just be open to your partner about it. |

What did your DR say? Is two weeks enough? My sister had a ligation after her 3rd child. Stitches usually heal after 8 weeks because it was a c-section for her last child. If you gave birth, I think two weeks is not enough since the stiches arent healed by then! |

Better be careful..don't just immediately have sex..I think your partner can understand because ligation is a very serious kind of operation. |

When my first wife gave birth, we were told not to have sex for two months until her stitches healed. I dont know whether or not you are a fast learner, but I had stitches too from an injury and breaking and getting them restitched are a pain! |

Yes, I believe that it takes a month before you can recover from such surgery..but still you experience pain from time to time. So, having sexis really not good after ligation. |
