FSH or follicle stimulating hormone. This hormone is produced in the pituitary gland, and it’s found in men as well as women.

bloosom - April 19th, 2011 12:02 PM

FSH is very important for both men and women. For men, it helps sperm to grow. For women, it helps eggs to grow.

FSH is very important. In fact, to women an elevated level of FSH can indicate that she’ll have some trouble with trying to conceive. It’s estimated that 99 % of women who have high FSH levels will have some difficulty trying to conceive.

MOre on the importance of FSH..it indicates that a high FSH levels when you’re trying to conceive can indicate that your ovarian reserve is low.

Mamasgirl - April 19th, 2011 12:26 PM

It’s important to understand your FSH level. Thru this your FSH levels themselves may not be the actual problem. It can indicate that your supply of eggs may be nearly depleted. If this is the case, decreasing your FSH levels may have no impact on when you try to conceive.

yes it's possible to decrease your FSH level. One option is to try to increase the flow of blood going to your ovaries.

Pinky - April 19th, 2011 1:03 PM

You can use acupuncture or acupressure. When your ovaries receive more blood, they are more receptive to producing an egg that can then be fertilized in this way FSH decreases.

You can reduce FSH level by dietary supplements as well.
