Hi, my husband has been diagnosed with a low count and low motility and as a result we have to go through ICSI if we hope to become parents. I just want to know if anyone has gone or is going throught this procedure?

Hi, I have just had my embryo transfer in my second round of ICSI currently waiting to find out whether it's worked or not which feels like the longest 2 weeks of my life! I'm sure you know that ICSI is the same as IVF as far as treatment is concerned, the difference comes when they are fertilising the eggs in the dish. Good luck x

Hi and thanx for responding. If you don't mind me asking, how are you finding the treatment. I'm already getting worried about the injections. I've been told my treatment will start in October. I know it's something that I need to do but just wanted some imput from someone who has or is going throught it. I'll keep everything crossed that this is successful for u.

Hi Claire, don't worry about the injections they really aren't as bad as you think. The main worry I had was the injections too but honestly the thought of them is worse than the actual deed. In the first cycle we went private while on the NHS waiting list, on that cycle the injections started straight away then another set of injections a few weeks in. However on the NHS I had a nasal spray replacing the first injections and only had the second set of injections. My partner always gives me my injections,I can do it myself but it gets him a bit more involved and helps him understand what I'm going through. Personally I found the moodswings that I got with the medication the worst but everyone is different. I guess I'm just a naturally emotional person.

Good luck, Julie x
