I have terrible bouts of dysmenorrhea during that time of the month. Yes I'm one of those poor unfortunate women. The pain is too much that I even take double the dose of pain killers just to lull the pain away. Doctors can't do anything about it as there is nothing wrong with me. It's just the way I am.

Anyway, is it true that once a woman has given birth these episodes of sever dysmenorrhea will go away?

That is not always the case. I have heard many women who claim that they have not had severe dysmenorrhea pain after pregnancy.

Am happy to say that mine is gone now. I have a case similar as yours Bonette. I know how it feels. I would take the day off because I couln't get out of bed even with medicine. My leaves get wasted because of it.

After giving birth to a wonderful baby daughter, she is 1+ years now by the way, I don't remember having severe dysmenorrhea pains.
