More than two but less than 5. I only have a few embryos left so now I want to maximize but conserve at the same time. We have not decided on surrogacy yet but I just want to make sure so I am saving some. |

I put in 5, btw. I thought I should mention coz I forgot earlier. |

So I gather that 2-5 is the optimum number? Or does it differ from woman to woman? |

It is in the individual differences, which might the reason of different embryos would be implanted per cycle in the woman's uterus. |

Women having IVF treatment in the future may only be able to have one embryo implanted at a time in efforts to reduce multiple births, it was announced today. |
Generally, between two and four embryos are transferred during each IVF cycle. |

IVF procedures almost has no limit when it comes to the number of embryos that can be implanted into the woman. Therefore it is a case-to-case basis for each woman because of her history. For example if she's had any miscarriages in the past it may be a good idea to put back many embryos all at once. This is done to increase the chances of it surviving, and therefore, get pregnant. |
