Is IVIg an effective form of treatment?

knight214 - November 1st, 2010 3:06 AM

This is given to women who are prone to miscarriage. Their body sees embryos as enemies and so they are attacked. IVIg treatment yeilds good results to those who often miscarry.

Aahhh! So this means there is too much white blood cells? Am I understanding it correctly?

No it doesn't necessarily mean more white blood cells than normal. What it means is that the embryos are seen as a threat to the body, thus it is being attacked and eliminated. If this isn't treated, getting pregnant would be very hard for the woman experiencing it.

how much would this type of treatment cost? and how can a woman find out whether or not she's going to be prone to miscarriage? it would be tough if everytime she gets pregnant, she loses the baby. there has to be a way to find out before a woman loses that many babies
