is it safe taking medications and you are pregnant?

you should be careful in taking medicines if you are pregnant. That's why it's important to consult this to your doctor. This medications or prescription may be passed through the placenta and on to her baby. But not all do pass through the placenta, and not all of those that do have any negative effects on the baby.

In the US what they did, they labeled their medications from A to X. Each indicate a different safety level in terms of taking them while pregnant or getting pregnant. In addition, many over-the-counter medications are placed into one of these categories, as well. Just to be safe!

If you get pregnant and are on prescription medications, you should talk to your health care provider immediately. She may be able to tell you if the medications you are on are appropriately safe while you are pregnant.

Just always bear in mind that you should be advised by your obgyne about your medications to be taken if it's safe to your baby. This is very important coz a pregnant women is very prone to many diseases.

AFAIK it is generally safe for common drugs but you must not forget to mention this to your physician however trivial they may be.
