Do you find that when you're TTC, it's soooooooooo difficult keeping to healthy eating and exercising? Mainly cos of the contradictions out there. On one hand, it's advised that you eat really healthily and exercise regulary when TTC to get your body in its best shape for being pregnant. Then I read articles that say you have a better chabce of conceiving if you eat ice cream and full fat milk! PLUS I always thought that if you're PG, you're best off eating full fat stuff but the Government advises low-fat stuff. What's the truth?!

(Plus I-just-can't-motivate-myself. I got married in June and was sooooooooo good with healthy eating and exercising. But now that I'm hitched, I just eat and eat and eat, and don't do much exercise. I'm also scared of exercising too much in case I am PG! Arghhhhhh!)

I'm the same really, am not overweight at all, just a bit wobbly (well, a size 10 wobbly) so I shouldn't panic, I guess!

Miss.Junky, no you shouldnt worry what so ever if you a size 10 that is fine,i dont think you should change you life just to have a baby like treat your body well but no need 2 go over board lol.

I am trying to workout more (not always happening) and eat healthier, but I am trying to do that for health rather than ttc. Though I have cut down on my Pepsi addiction a little...but since i don't drink coffee, I figure it's ok. More trying to cut out the empty calories.

I know that once I get pg I am going to be a little more careful when lifting weights...have a Bowflex and won't be lifting as much weights on it just to be safe...also may have to give up the bike if I can't fit on it!

I have also cut out drinking (usually) during the 2ww...sometimes a glass of wine or one drink, but not 3-4 as I would sometimes have. Both my DH and I have done that actually. DH got some flak about letting my have a glass of wine at Thanksgiving actually from his BILs! We actually thought it was quite funny.

So no, I really haven't done a lot differently because of ttc. More tried to make healthier decisions for my health, and DH and I are trying to eat healthier just because. The one major thing I have done is go off Paxil and onto St. John's Wort, with breaks from St. John's Wort as it doesn't always seem to agree with me over the long run...

I'm pretty good, but not just because i'm TTC. I love junk food but eat really well most of the time but do have my splurges!

My exercise is riding and training my horses and lots of walking around the farm doing chores. I once put a predometer on during my chores and I walked like 5kms according to it!

A general day of eating for me would be rye bread toast for breafast with coffee. Lunch would be a big salad (no meat) with homemade dressing, and dinner would be lots of veggies with a small amount of lean meat. Snacking through the day on fruit and raw nuts and drinking 2ltrs + of water a day. I'm only 5ft5 and my weight is stable around the 62kg mark. I'm a size Oz 10 which I think is a UK 8 or a US 6.

My main motivation for eating well is that it makes me feel so good. I have loads of energy where as much as I love my fast food, chocolate and lollies, I burn out so quickly and become so lethargic. My work and days are pretty physically full on and I just can't afford to be tired and run down.

you are very healthy LusciousGoddess! I am quite good in that i eat lots of veggies and dont really eat that much choc and crisps ect, but Im not that healthy really I could do better. I havent been eating healthier whilst TTC I admit but I enjoy my take-aways too much!

I tend to eat most things in moderation. We sometimes have takeaway, but its more of a treat. I do like to cook my meals from scratch rather than from jars, so I know exactly what is I am eating. Saying that the other day we did have fish fingers, chips and beans!!!!!!!

Jastxpc - February 27th, 2011 1:15 AM

honestly, my wife hates exercise when she was pregnant but i advised her so that she won't have difficulty in delivering our baby.

it works!
