I'm a mother of two boys. My husband and I plan to have another kid in the family. This time, I hope it would be a girl. Is there a method that we could use to help us choose our baby's gender?

I think there is what we call lunar fertility cycle in which you can use to help you choose on what sex you like for your future child.

Well, it includes some factors like diet, nutrition, acidity of vaginal environment and intercourse timing relative to ovulation.

For me, choosing your baby's gender is a very controversial issue. I don't really adopt to this kind of idea and i also consider this as some kind of a myth.

I'm with lyka here. Sperms carry the deciding chromosomes and either type of sperm has a 50/50 chance of reaching the egg. the egg already has two chromosomes xx so the sperm carries either the x (for girl) and y (for boys. sperm with x swims faster but dies faster too. y swims slower but lives longer... so its kinda hard to manipulate which fertilizes the egg.

well for me, it's possible for you to choose what kind of gender you want to have for your next baby. Just by making a few changes on your lifestyles or you can have the expensive one called Microsorting or Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis.

Yes, it is possible but people are spending lots of money just to have the guarantee that they will get the boy or the girl that their heart is set on.

the chinese lunar calendar computes the baby's sex using the month of conception and the mother's age. i dunno if its effective though. we would like to have any baby. regardless of gender. :)

it is not a priority for us too so any gender is welcome. the lunar calendar is accurate. for my sister anyway. she has a boy and girl conceived using a lunar fertility chart.
