Can a condom/lubricant allergy in the past have an impact on fertility now?

Semeon - June 25th, 2010 12:10 PM

I think it doesn't have an impact because we use condom before and still I got pregnant, and there's nothing wrong with it.

I don't think so, allergy with condom or any other lubricants in the past has nothing to do with infertility that you have now. I think it's more on other reasons.

I had a condom allergy in the past. It caused cervicitis (inflamation of the cervix) and then I had to undergo cryotherapy to repair my cervix. Although I have PCOS, my doctor assured me that it has nothing to do with my infertility issue.

As long as it was treated, I don't think it should impact your fertility right now. Perhaps there are other factors to consider?

I know some people are allergic to latex, but I have never thought that it could cause problems in the future in regards to reproductive health.

There are people who are allergy of something but it doesn't mean that it can be the cause of infertility.
