Lying down a few minutes after sex, if you are trying to conceive helps. This prevents most of the sperm from moving back to the vagina, and leaves them closer to the cervix. However, getting up right after sex gets, not all, but most of the sperm back to the vagina and sperm don't live long there (vagina). This is why the 'standing position' is a no-no if you are TTC.

Yes, I believe that lying down for a few minutes can makes a woman pregnant. That's what we did before when my husband and I are TTC and it indeed helps.

Thanks for the tips you have there guys. yes, i think I have to agree that positions really give an important part in trying to get pregnant.Don't worry, I will try to apply that too.

another tip: put a pillow behind your butt to tilt you pelvis up. You can do this while your having sex in the missionary position or right after. Lie down for a 15-30 minutes after sex to ensure that most of the sperm go up the cervix.

I agree. Cuddling is good and reiforces bonds between wife and husband. so cuddle while you lie still.

To get the maximum sperm into the cervix, it also helps if the woman orgasms. The spasms from the vaginal walls will suck the sperm into the cervix and into the uterus.

this is a very good tip. it also helps that you lie still after ivf to help with the implantation!

SK8, I like that idea because I also do that. It pushes me up against my partner while he is entering me. So not only does it help for conception, but it also allows maximum pleasure during sex because penetration is deeper. It's win-win I say!

just always remember this as what Dr. Ghofrany said, during sex don't stress yourself out about it too much. Your odds of getting pregnant hinge on many more factors
