my partner had an abnormal result during one of her pap smears in the past. do you think that it contributed to our problems now?

hmmm...what does an abnormal pap smear mean?

Ysah - October 26th, 2010 2:47 AM

Yeah, I want to know also what do you mean by abnormal pap smear? Is there really such a thing? I'm confused.

According to my RE, if you have consecutive abnormal pap smears, then there could be a problem with your sex organs.

So, would it mean that it can cause infertility problems and women with abnormal pap smear experience, she can no longer be pregnant?

to: heatherlyn

its not certain that she can "never be pregnant". I think this means that getting pregnant will be a challenge.

pap smear is when cells inside the cervix are checked for any malignancies. so I would think that if your pap smear results are always abnomal then something abnormal is also going on down there.

It's a kind of screening test for finding the cell abnormalities in the body.
