I am not sure about BV but I have read about cases of PID wherein the infection went up the fallopian tube and caused infertility. Since they are both infections I think it is possible that they can cause infertility especially if they are left untreated. |

I had BV before as an allergic reaction to condom. However I was assured by my GYN that it has nothing to do with my fertility issues now. |

If the bacteria from the BV travels up the uterus then your fertility might be in danger. It can also lead to ectopic pregnancy. |

Thanks ladies, I had BV several times. The doctor told me this was because of the changing "flora" in my vagina. I dont really think it has anything to do with my fertility issues now. But I was just wondering! |
