can minor conditions like bacterial vaginosis lead to female infertility?

I am not sure about BV but I have read about cases of PID wherein the infection went up the fallopian tube and caused infertility. Since they are both infections I think it is possible that they can cause infertility especially if they are left untreated.

I had BV before as an allergic reaction to condom. However I was assured by my GYN that it has nothing to do with my fertility issues now.

If the bacteria from the BV travels up the uterus then your fertility might be in danger. It can also lead to ectopic pregnancy.

Thanks ladies, I had BV several times. The doctor told me this was because of the changing "flora" in my vagina. I dont really think it has anything to do with my fertility issues now. But I was just wondering!
