how can something like this lead to infertility in women? what is it in the first place?

People who have pelvic pain usually have internal scars somewhere along these regions. These scars make it hard for them to get pregnant.

Chronic pelvic pain is pain in the pelvic region that has been going on for more than 6 months.

My mom told me that after she had a cesarean section the scar caused pelvic pain. It can be very painful especially when it rains. I dont know if this caused infertility in her as I am the youngest.

If there are internal scars can they be removed to ease the discomfort of the patient?

This is usually caused by fibroids, endometriosis, PID and cysts. This can impact physical and mental health of the patient so in a way it can contribute to infertility.
