Older moms carry the risk of their babies having genetic disorders.

Example a woman aged 30 will have 1 in 1000 chance of having a child with Down's syndrome. at 35 this number increases to 1:400.

Genetics disorders are really common for women pregnant at older age. It's really too risky for both the mother and the baby conceived on the later years.

Having to conceive in your late years is really too risky. But I think you can prevent any genetic disorders to happen if you have always make sure that you have your monthly prenatal checks and taking proper medicine.

I agree. I know of a woman who had her first child at 42 and this was via AI and the kid had down's syndrome. they found out via amnio synthesis but she decided to have the kid anyway. its so sad.

It's really to risky to get pregnant when your old. But if it's already there..I think you really don't have a choice but have the child fully equipt with the necessary things to avoid any problems like genetic disorder.

as women age, they have declining egg quality. guys also experience this with their sperm. this is why there is an increased chance of giving birth to kids with genetic disorders. this is a risk you have to think about.

Yes. I have heard of incidents where older mothers have kids with CP or Down's syndrome. It is sad but it is not always the case and there is still a chance of having a healthy baby.

I have heard of this true. Perhaps you can have genetic testing like amnio synthesis so that you can be prepared early on.

this is really true, it's too risky at the older age for both mother and baby.
