Good day! Do you know about Hydrosalpinx? How is this related to infertility in women?

jobelyn - October 2nd, 2010 5:19 AM

As far as I know hydrosalpinx is a distally blocked fallopian tube filled with serious or clear fluid.

Hydrosalpinx according to my research, is a fallopian tube that is filled with fluid. Injury to the end of the fallopian tube, the ampulla, and its delicate fingers, the fimbria, which causes the end of the tube to close.

Hydrosalpinx is most commonly caused by an old pelvic infection which may have been caused by sexually transmitted disease.

why did the fallopian tube get filed with fluid??? what causes it and how to avoid it?

SuperMom - October 11th, 2010 3:00 AM

perhaps it is a defect or something. there are surgery that can correct tubal blockages. some of them are successful but there are cases that develop scar tissue which makes it still hard to get pregnent.

to jedimaster745

some of the causes of this are: abortion, usage of intrauterine devices, infections and tissue that has been scarred from prior surgery.

even surgery can cause this! so how do you cure Hydrosalpinx?
