i read that the cysts will be there forever. but there are ways of overcoming infertility even if you have pcos. like example, losing weight. |
I think this is a myth and I think jon is right. There is a way of getting around it. PCOS main cause is obesity and people can lose weight. |
Yes, it's a fact. PCOS can be cured. There are actually a lot of normal remedies that can make it cure for good. |
to joanne: can you post which remedies you speak of? its not very helpful when you say there are and then leave it at that... what's to discuss after you post? |
There in an article which I read, that PCOS can be treated but can not be cured, most especially if it is in your genes. |

they have found a genetic link to pcos. the doctors wont remove the cysts. once you have them you will always have them. i agree with olivia. it can be managed through exercise or hormone therapy but chances of getting pregnant are slim. |
No cure but you can slim down so that the extra hormones caused by the extra fat can be eliminated. This will improve chances once your hormones are regulated. |

Some women with PCOS get pregnant, some don't. Its not impossible to get pregnant with PCOS but there is no known cure. |
neither. some women are able to get pregnant. My sister has pcos and has a two year old. |
Important thing to remember: there is a difference between having polycystic ovaries and having PCOS. I have POs but don't have PCOS as my hormone results are normal. Currently in early pregnancy for the first time. |
it would be nice if someone who knew any remedies post it in here. that would save us a lot of time looking for answers on the internet. does having PCOS put your pregnancey in danger? |

from all the research i've done and the subject, i don't think it is curable. however, it is mangeable. the most important thing is to monitor your diet and exercise. also, take your medication regularly. my friend, yazzie livin in dubai right now, was diagnosed 6 months ago, and they put her on Metformin. It balances blood sugar and hormones among other things. |
