i'm sorry i'm not familiar with fibroid, does anybody wants to help and explain this ?thanks

BunnySmart - February 14th, 2011 6:57 AM

I as have learned from my sister fibroid is simply as myomas (leiomyoma in medical terminology) are well-circumscribed tumours that grow on the outside, inside or within the smooth muscle in the wall of the womb (uterus).

there are women who has fibroid like in your case, but still get into pregnant. On rare occasions, a large fibroid may block the opening of the uterus. In that case, a pregnant woman may need to have a caesarean delivery.

Bea_me - February 14th, 2011 8:00 AM

fibroid doesn't hinder you to get into pregnant and if you are pregnant and have fibroids, they likely won't cause problems for you or your baby. During pregnancy, fibroids may increase in size. Most of this growth occurs from blood flowing to the uterus. Coupled with the extra demands placed on the body by pregnancy, growth of fibroids may cause discomfort, feelings of pressure, or pain. Fibroids decrease in size after pregnancy in most cases.

Fibroids can increase the risk of miscarriage (in which the pregnancy ends be-fore 20 weeks)

You may be wondering if having harmless fibroid tumors will make it more difficult to conceive. A lot of women do. Despite having fibroids, most women have completely normal deliveries and pregnancies.

For a small number of women, however, trying to conceive with fibroids can be difficult for a number of reasons.

does the location of fibroids can affect your ability to conceive?

starstruck - February 14th, 2011 8:57 AM

Fibroids can sometimes cause a blockage if they are located close to the cervix. Fibroids near the cervix will inhibit the sperm's journey and will result in it being unlikely that you will become pregnant.

Roxy_25 - February 14th, 2011 9:07 AM

sometimes also, it is situated high up in the uterus, fibroids can sometimes block one or both of the fallopian tubes entrance, inhibiting the sperm from being able to reach the egg.

vev_webb - February 14th, 2011 9:22 AM

as i have learned that age factor affects pregnancy, and you have also little fibroid..

well, there are women who are likely most in your case who have successful in their pregnancy others aren't.. but just think positive kuldeep and trust in God ;D..in Him all things are possible right??

callme_liss - February 14th, 2011 11:52 AM

What type of fibroid you have, according to the Mayo clinic, will also affect your ability to conceive.

js_B3th - February 14th, 2011 12:19 PM

Since everyone would like to increase their chances of having a problem-free conception and a healthy pregnancy, the smart thing to do is to manage fibroids ahead of time. Hormonal treatments or surgery at this time are rarely the best option. However, it is possible to safely and naturally shrink fibroids while trying to conceive.

lindaheart - February 14th, 2011 3:01 PM

maybe there is another reason of not establishing your pregnancy kuldeep. A lot of women who had fibroid and at older age are still pregnant. In fact, one of this is my sister-in-law and she's 45 yrs. old, w/c is older than you. But she had a successful pregnancy. Anyway, you can do this using a totally natural strategy which will also benefit your total well-being.

Simple84 - February 18th, 2011 2:10 PM

this could be..but not sure because i know some of my freinds have fibroid but they still get pregnant.

Emma - March 1st, 2011 5:33 AM

My advise to you Ms. Kuldeep is to take everybody's advice here in consideration but don't take it as truth. The best course is to go seek help & advice from a professional.

I have questions too:
Have you ever been pregnant before?
Experienced miscarriage in the past?
Are you still childless until now?

The reason is at your age it's gonna be hard. That's a fact you must be ready to accept that giving birth might be impossible for you at this point. But don't despair and lose hope. Miracles do happen.

Good luck!
