A Qualitative Pregnancy Blood Test can only give a “yes” or “no” answer. For whether or not HCG is present. This test gives results similar to what urine based home pregnancy test kits do. For Quantitative Pregnancy Blood Test can actually measure the exact amount of hCG in the woman’s blood.

Quantitative pregnancy blood test can also estimate of the age of the fetus. It can also help determine if the pregnancy is progressing normally.

A qualitative pregnancy blood test will show you what level of hCG is in your blood. A positive quantitative pregnancy test is 5 mIU HCG. This level is usually seen shortly after conception.
