some clinics do a mock transfer before IVF. is this really necessary? will it incrase chances?

just like the name entails, it is sort of like practice for the actual transfer of the embryos. Its easy you just have to lie down and the dr will insert a catether to measure the depth and direction of your uterus. if it were a real transfer then he would actually be transfering the eggs.

this is done on the non fertile days of the cycle. between day 3-11.

May I know what mock transfer? I really don't have any idea of what it is.

Most clinics do a mock transfer. this is just part of the treatment and this is also good for first timers so that they will get a good idea of what the whole IVF procedure entails.

Yes, IVF procedure has a mock transfer. And I agree with RamsesIII that this is good especially for the first timers. At least with a mock transfer you would know what to expect and the doctors have your stats regarding the direction and depth of the uterus.

We had mock transfer in our clinic at day 9.

Hello, I just want to make some clarification. Is this mock transfer has to do with the embryo transfer? In what way?
