how is sperm tested for motility and how accurate is this? is there other things to be done for sperm screening?

I think they have special machines that measure motility per cc just like in sperm count. We havent tried this, but I think it would be better if your partner has not ejaculated for 2-3 days to determine both count and motility more accurately.

I wasnt there but it involves some adult movies and jerking into a cup... LOL... anyway, they are quite accurate in determining motility, quality and count. We even had a second opinion to make sure.

There are test packs that you could use at home. I think they are accurate as pregnancy test packs are.

its a lab test that consists of screening sperm and making sure their shape, number and upward motion (motility) is good.

I was with my partner but he was uncomfortable doing it in the clinic. So we rented a room at a hotel nearby and he masturbated there. Samples need to be examined immediately for more accurate results.

to hunk: test packs tend to be expensive. they are usually on the $80 upwards price range. This costs almost the same if you do it in the lab, where I belive they are more accurate than home tests.

they usually test for number and motility during screening. it is done mainly by observing the number of sperm cells and then their upward motion. they are also checked for abnormal shapes.
